Hi I'm Anneka, director and creator of Don't Throw the Bouquet! I have a degree in property development with Interior Design and a passion for all things home related. Starting my business in 2020 I soon found my niche was wedding flower preservation and from there Don't Throw the Bouquet was created!

Your wedding flowers are essentially the most expensive flowers you are likely to ever buy for just one day! There is so much going on during the day that often they don't get to be fully appreciated. You then go off on your honeymoon and that's the end of their use. What I do is utilise these sentimental florals and transform them in to gifts and homeware items for you to treasure! It's a great way of creating unique gifts for family and friends for your first Christmas as a married couple too. I am the last piece of your wedding journey and am here to create a special lasting reminder of the best day of your life!

I am completely self taught at what I do and over my time running the business I have invested in a new workspace, various improvements in equipment and tried and tested a vast amount of materials in order to get to the level I am at now. All my products are resin based and designed by my creative eye! I have a large range of products and I am always developing something new in the background.

Flower preservation is a two-fold process. You can provide your flowers either already dried, or the most popular option is to send them whilst still nice and fresh for me to preserve them before I can create your items. All flowers must be completely free from moisture before I can set them in resin for you. The drying process is usually covered by the £20 booking fee (If sending dried flowers this is deducted from your order) I have a number of years experience in drying and the use various different methods found to be the best to retain colour and shape.

The most commonly asked questions Anneka receives

Once you have booked in to secure your slot in my diary I provide lots of info, tips and advice including full packaging instructions for postage!

I am based in East Lancashire but this doesn't matter too much as I cover the whole of the UK! I have customers from Glasgow to Guernsey and I have received hundreds of bouquets via post previously!

My advice is the sooner the better, my diary is open 3 years in advance and the more established I get the quicker this fills, especially for peak season! The more informed and educated you are on my process the more enjoyable the experience so my ideal brides are with me along their wedding planning journey.

Ok so it's not a speedy process, there are a number of factors that can effect timescale but I usually work to a 12 week lead time for making, once they are completed you will have them forever!

Simply because I absolutely adore what I do and the joy my art brings to others. I always wanted to work for myself as my parents had and I always wanted to sell unique homeware, in order to truly do this I figured I needed to make it myself!
